Fred Loads wrote a wide range of books on gardening and his last one, published back in 1980 was this bestseller 'Gardening Tips of Lifetime'. Although gardens and gardening techniques have moved on, the basics remain much the same. Although I'm not in the same league as Fred, I will share some of his good advice contained in this book, wherever it is still relevant.
